Join us in an immersive course designed for young innovators eager to participate in the First Lego League (FLL) competition. In this program, students will work on a competition team and collaborate to tackle a real-world challenge related to the FLL theme. Guided by experienced instructors, participants will engage in innovative problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork as they develop a project that addresses the challenge. They will conduct research, identify creative solutions, and present their ideas in a compelling and impactful manner. The course will also emphasize core values such as teamwork, gracious professionalism, and community engagement. Students will have the opportunity to showcase their innovation project at regional FLL tournaments, gaining valuable feedback and recognition for their efforts. By the end of the course, students will have developed essential skills in research, innovation, teamwork, and public speaking, setting them on a path of lifelong learning and success in tackling complex real-world challenges.
You'll learn to:
- Engage in the FIRST LEGO League (FLL) competition and learn about its core values, mission, and guidelines.
- Collaborate with a team to identify a real-world problem and develop an innovative solution using research, critical thinking, and creativity.
- Acquire presentation and communication skills by effectively conveying ideas and findings to judges and peers.
- Strengthen project management abilities by setting goals, managing timelines, and allocating resources for the innovation project.
- Gain an understanding of the FLL competition process, including robot design, programming, and teamwork, while applying problem-solving skills to address specific challenges.
Choose a lesson package
Fourteen hours of one on one private instruction or one complete course. Weekday or weekend appointments with a live instructor onsite at our facility. Once lessons begin, students meet routinely each week on set days and times for one or more hours per week consecutively until the course hours have been completed. Appointments are subject to availability.
