About This Topic
Jr Animation is a captivating course designed for students ready to embark on a creative journey into the world of animation. In this program, students will explore the basics of animation, learning about storytelling, character design, and movement. Through fun and interactive activities, students will bring their imaginations to life as they create animated stories using age-appropriate animation software and tools. The course will emphasize creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking, nurturing the young animators’ artistic abilities and problem-solving skills. By the end of the course, students will have a fundamental understanding of animation principles, a collection of their own animated projects, and a newfound appreciation for the magic of bringing drawings to life.
You'll learn to:
- Learn the basics of animation, including concepts like frames, keyframes, and timing
- Explore different animation techniques, such as traditional animation or digital animation
- Develop skills in creating simple animations using animation software and tools
- Engage in creative exercises and projects to bring characters and objects to life through movement and storytelling
- Foster imagination and storytelling abilities by creating animated stories or short sequences
Choose a lesson package
Fourteen hours of one on one private instruction or one complete course. Weekday or weekend appointments with a live instructor onsite at our facility. Once lessons begin, students meet routinely each week on set days and times for one or more hours per week consecutively until the course hours have been completed. Appointments are subject to availability.
