About This Topic
In this course, students work on competition style robotics. At the start of the course, students will be presented with multiple tasks or table missions for a robot to perform and given a set amount of time to complete tasks; as well as a corresponding set of points for a point scoring system. Robots will be built and programmed to complete missions. Missions vary in levels of difficulty and a table strategy is developed to maximize performance and scores. At the end of this course, students will submit their robot design process, programs and robotic solutions used to accomplish mission goals.
You'll learn to:
- Use the engineering design process for competition challenges
- Understand robot attachments, use and effectiveness
- Create a strategy for approaching table missions
- Build, program, and test with efficiency
